Please join us for the next joint Mountain Counties Water Resources Association and Association of California Water Agencies Region 3 general membership meeting and program on Tuesday, December 11 at El Dorado Irrigation District, 2890 Mosquito Road, Placerville.
Registration and Networking will begin at 9:30 a.m.
The opening session is titled “The National Forest Role in California Water Issues – USFS Regional Priorities” with featured speaker Barnie Gyant, Deputy Regional Forester for Resources.
An attorney panel on Water Rights will follow with panel Moderator Cindy Tuck, ACWA Deputy Executive Director, Government Relations, beginning the program with “Water Rights 101”. The panel of attorneys will discuss the history of water rights; vulnerability of water rights; what water managers should know about protecting water rights and renewing/updating water rights. Q & A to follow.
ON LINE REGISTRATION – Registration will take place on-line rather than RSVP by email as in the past. Registration payment ($30) will be made on-line by credit card rather than paying at the door the day of the event. Payment at the door is $35.
