MCWRA welcomes Donel Laudon  – MCWRA INTERN

Donel Laudon is a senior at Oregon State University, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration. She will continue on this path after graduating when she is accepted in the Master’s program for Environmental Policy. She is presently a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and has recently been invited to join the Mortar Board Honor Society, based on her academic achievements with an overall GPA of 3.72.

Donel will be using Access software to create a new membership tracking database, assist with website enhancements and PowerPoint presentations, and research projects in water policy.

Prior to enrollment at Oregon State University, Donel worked for seven years at Placer County Water Agency under the direct supervision of John Kingsbury, as a Customer Services Specialist.  There she specialized in statistical compilation, data quality assurance, provided administrative assistance to management and staff. During her tenure with the agency, she played an integral role in the revision and development of the Agency’s Rules and Regulations, created and maintained department presentations, as well as consistently performed required audits on internal customer data for reporting reliability.

Donel is very excited about the opportunity to once again work under the leadership of John Kingsbury in an intern position for the Mountain Counties Water Resources Association. During her time working for Mr. Kingsbury at Placer County Water Agency, she was not only influenced by his leadership skills, but encouraged by his wealth of knowledge and resolve for water resource preservation to fundamentally make the decision to continue her education and commitment towards policy for enriching this wonderful resource, water.
