MCWRA Website Policy Statement

Objective

The primary objective of the Mountain Counties Water Resources Association (Association) web portal is to provide for the timely distribution of information pertinent to the Association’s business and interests.

The Association web portal will be maintained in a professional businesslike matter.

Publishing/Posting Guidelines

When publishing/posting on the Association’s web portal, publisher(s) are responsible for the content of the pages they create and are expected to adhere to the highest standards of quality and responsibility. Further, they must comply with all laws and guidelines governing copyrights, intellectual property and privacy.

Disclaimer Statement

Shall be placed on the web portal “The information on this website has been provided by the MCWRA for general information purposes.  MCWRA has made every attempt to ensure that the information contained on this website is presented without any representation or warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of the information.  In no event will MCWRA be liable to a website visitor or anyone else for any decision made or action taken on reliance of the information in this website or for any consequential, special or similar damages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.”

 Members Helping Members Page

Consultant members may provide funding to sponsor the web portal.  In exchange for the annual sponsorship, the member’s logo, website link and general information will be acknowledged on the Members Helping Members page.  Additionally, the Publisher will notice these web portal subscribers minimally bi-annually (twice a year) of the services they provide and encourage members to support members.

Website Repository

In addition to reporting timely Association information for web portal subscribers, web service for other non-profit water related associations/committees/workgroups will be provided on a time and material basis, subject to an annual charge and Board of Director approval.  Set up costs and maintenance charges will be billed on a time and material quarterly hour increment basis.  Charges are based on current budgeted charge for web portal maintenance.

This policy will be subject to review on an as needed basis.
