Communications & Media Relations Manager
El Dorado Irrigation District (EID) is currently accepting applications for the position of Communications & Media Relations Manager.
Under administrative direction from the General Manager, the Communications and Media Relations Manager acts as the District’s Public Information Officer (PIO); plans, organizes, directs, and reviews activities related to community outreach, public information and education programs, the District’s website, social media strategies, and media and government relations; coordinates PIO activities closely with internal departments and external agencies and organizations to ensure cohesive, modernized, and strategic communications in support of the District and the General Manager.
This position is open until filled, with the first review of candidates taking place on June 20, 2025, or until a sufficient number of qualified candidates have been received, whichever occurs sooner. So, apply early.
Meter Technician I/II
El Dorado Irrigation District (EID) is currently accepting applications for the position of Meter Technician I/II in the Customer Service Division of Finance.
Under supervision, performs field service activities related to reading, collecting, and recording water meter consumption data; interacts with customers and responds to customer concerns in the field; and tests, repairs, and upgrades/replaces water meters.

Plant Mechanic I/II
El Dorado Irrigation District (EID) is currently accepting applications for the position of Plant Mechanic I/II in the Operations Department.
Under supervision performs skilled duties related to the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical equipment associated with wastewater and water treatment and water distribution facilities; repairs pumps, valves, pressure and flow control regulators, and related equipment.

Utilities Maintenance Supervisor
El Dorado Irrigation District (EID) is currently accepting applications for the position of Utilities Maintenance Supervisor in the Drinking Water Division of Operations.
Under general direction, plans, organizes, directs, participates, and supervises the work of crews involved in a variety of general construction activities including the installation, repair, and maintenance of water utility infrastructure and potable/recycled water distribution systems within the Operations Department; and performs a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
The ideal candidate will possess a valid Water Distribution Operator Grade D3 certificate issued by the State Water Resources Control Board (California).

Temporary Utility Worker- Hydro
El Dorado Irrigation District (EID) is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Utility Worker position within the Hydroelectric Division of Operations.
Under direct supervision, performs a variety of manual labor assisting District staff with maintenance and construction activities of tasks associated with the installation, repair, and maintenance of water distribution and collection systems, canals, and water conveyance systems used for the operation of the hydroelectric power plant, irrigation ditches, and lakes; and operates light and moderately heavy power-driven equipment.

Water Treatment Supervisor
El Dorado Irrigation District (EID) is currently accepting applications for the position of Water Treatment Plant Supervisor in the Operations Department.
Under general direction, the Water Treatment Plant Supervisor plans, organizes, directs and supervises the operation and maintenance of the District’s drinking water treatment plants and associated facilities within the Operations Department; and performs a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.
The Water Treatment Supervisor is the supervisory level class in the Water Treatment Plant Operator series. The Water Treatment Supervisor is distinguished from the Chief Water Treatment Plant Operator in that the former serves as the District’s “Chief Operator” as defined within §63750.25 of Title 22, California Code of Regulations, for all District water treatment facilities. Positions in this class are characterized by supervisory responsibility for operational, maintenance, field investigative, monitoring, and sampling activities to ensure reliable storage, transmission, and distribution of high-quality treated water. Successful performance requires monitoring and taking appropriate action to ensure that assigned facilities are operated within prescribed limits to meet performance standards, regulatory requirements, changing conditions, and emergencies. Responsibilities may include working off-hour shifts, holidays, and weekends in a continuous operations (24/7) environment.
